We got permission from the local Trainor family to build and site a small picnic area near the entrance to the Killard Nature Reserve. The Trainor Family are scions of their community and previously have transferred land to allow a 3G pitch to be used at Bishopscourt Family Centre.

We helped set up and train the ‘Killard Nature Reserve – butterfly walking group” and have an over-lapping membership with that group. This group counts the butterflies at the Nature reserve between the end of March and September each year. We set up this picnic area at the start and end points for the 3 kilometre ‘transect’ – see their facebook here
