Lecale Conservation Association members had a joint campaign with the Loch Cuan Canoe Club to assist the Strangford Lough and Lecale Partnership to clean the Lecale Coast from Killough to Rossglass.
This is the route of the Ulster Way and is inaccessible from the landward side with Cliffs and other obstacles.
Large numbers of volunteers walked the paths cleaning 100’s of small coves and bays and leaving tied bags for canoeists to navigate the narrow inlets inshore and remove out to larger waiting ribs.
