Lecale Conservation has a cross-membership with the Loch Cuan Canoe Club which is a water-based environmental group in Lecale campaigning on clean seas and rivers around Lecale and Strangford. See their Facebook page here
For the last 10 years we have been running a joint annual “Quoile River Clean-up” from Kilmore to the Quoile Barrier with Strangford Lough. When water levels are low we go from Annacloy to the Barrier. We normally do this in Spring but this year we are doing it in September owing to availability of the Clubs Safety officer and Coaches.
