CadÓg is 17 and studies Mechatronics at Downpatrick Tech (SERC). He is a keen environmentalist and wants to be an engineer.
He has been involved in environmental campaigns his whole life, and would like to work in the renewable energy industry.
CadÓg has completed work experience with Eirgrid, and has a valuable understanding of the broad electrical industry and it’s future in replacing fossil fuels for both transport and space heating. He has fostered good relations with Eirgrid managers to partake in Lecale Conservation’s toolkit ‘workshops’.
CadÓg has just undertaken ‘Transition Year’ down South prior to embarking on his course at SERC.
He has also appeared on BBC Newsline and UTV View From Stormont to hold local government to account over inaction on climate change.
