Noel is the owner of The Mill at Ballydugan. One of Ulster’s largest and most authentic restoration project.
Ballydugan Mill was constructed outside Downpatrick, Co. Down, in 1792 and was considered an engineering marvel with eight floors (six storeys and two in attic) producing flour, bran and starch.
The Mill contained four pairs of stones and had the ability to be powered by water, wind and steam. The main building is roofed in Bangor Blue slates and was constructed in Silurian rubble masonry, roughcast and has a cut stone eaves course.
Having lain derelict for 125 years, the Mill was bought and restored in 1987 by it’s current owner, Mr. Noel Killen
