Cathal is an A-Level student studying Politics, French, and Sociology at Down High Grammar, Downpatrick. He is ‘Carbon Literate’ certified, and also sits on the Association’s committee as Deputy Secretary.
He is a keen environmentalist and active campaigner, with experience in campaigning, being the Youth Leader of Lecale Conservation’s youth group for three years.
He is at the forefront of climate action in Northern Ireland, working with political parties and environmental organisations. He is a member of the Northern Ireland Youth Policy Collective, the Secondary Students’ Union of Northern Ireland, the Northern Ireland Students 4 Climate Network, NI Youth Forum and Fridays For Future NI.
Cathal has appeared on BBC Radio Ulster, BBC Newsline, UTV Life, and UTV View From Stormont, discussing the climate and holding local government to account.
