As part of our ongoing campaign to halt gross pollution of the Quoile River we came across a particularly bad case emanating from the outfall from the Finnebrouge venison plant.

This had grossly polluted the Finnebrouge river that feeds the Loch and main Quoile river. Like all our sites, we recorded the evidence, date and details and meticulously reported it to the pollution hotline and insisted on action being taken.

This period of pollution ultimately led to a profusion of growth in the part of the Quoile abutting Finnebrouge completely blocking it and preventing it serving as it had in the past as an area for small fish and birds, particularly the kingfisher.
